Hope And Psalm - RPG Character Commission

This is a private commission of the client's Tiefling cleric, Hope, and her teenage son, Psalm.

I really liked following a process on this painting: taking the time to sketch out different versions of layout and color schemes. Also doing all the little details of costumes was really fun.

One thing I noticed right at the end is how much a tiny detail can change something. I wasn't quite happy with the tree roots, then realized they were too straight and smooth on their outer edges. So I added TINY little bumps along their edges and I felt so much better about it.
